I forgot, two weeks ago we had invited a few families over for “high tea”. We decided at 2pm that we should invite them at 5:30pm! We got groceries SUPER QUICK and got everything ready (on time) for 11 ppl.
The menu was:

mango smoothies
potato patties
chicken sandwiches
shami kebab

We had a few of hubby’s colleagues over for dinner last night. I managed to get everything done on time It was a nice and relaxed evening. We actually all squished together at the table (8 pple at a table for 6) which made it easier for conversation.

spring shower

american um ali

i made apple crisp for dessert last week. it ended up being labeled “the american um ali.” turns out there is a really famous arab dessert called um ali that is also served warm and uses cinnamon. everyone was skeptical about trying it with vanilla ice cream but they did and really liked it.
